Students from throughout the diocese came together again for their Diocesan Certificate of Ministry (DCM) residential study. For the first time, the residential study was conducted at Kokol Prayer Summit (KPS).
For three weeks, the students had a truly monastic experience away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, away from work, a mild digital detox. Apart from the usual Practical Ministry Modules and Moore Theological College subjects, the students had weekly fasting, evening prayer and reflection sessions. Nourishing the soul and the spirit; learning to be still and to pray individually and corporately. Students also took turns to clean communal spaces, serve food and wash dishes. The Principal of the Anglican Training Institute with the participation of the Diocesan Diploma of Ministry students conducted Sunday services at KPS as well.
