ALL SAINTS' SECONDARY SCHOOL
Kota Kinabalu

Academic & Non-Academic Achievements

Academic Achievements

Every year, the performances of the students in three Public Examinations have been the pride of the school. The school has been ranked amongst the top high-achieving schools in Sabah.

The public examinations are PMR (lower secondary school education), SPM (Malaysia certificate of education) and STPM, (higher School Certificate of Education). in the recent

SPM examination, 2 of our students achieved 16 As in all of the subjects taken, thus becoming the highest achievers in the whole nation.

Co-Curricular Achievements

In line with the Malaysian Education Philosophy which hopes to produce well-rounded young generation of Malaysians, the school is constantly encouraging the students to be involved in co-curricular activities like sports, clubs and societies conducted in the school or by other public or private organizations.

Ample facilities, equipment and coaching are made available to ensure that students are able to perform well in any activity or competition.

Public and private organizations too have always given credence to our students to participate in activities organized by them.

The encouragement and support given have borne sportsmen and women of national and international standard / calibre.

Alex Lim Keng Liat & Elvin Chia (Swimming) for example, are Malaysia’s Olympic Swimmers, Jasmine Leong and Leong Chii Wen were National Swimmers.

Ben Leong and Rajpal Balachandran played Golf in Junior International tournaments and made their mark as junior champions.

In the National Science Quiz, which is held annually, All Saints representatives have always emerged one of the top three’s in the State and represented Sabah in 1995 and 2002. In 1995, they were the champions and were awarded the challenge trophy and a trip to England.

In 2002, they emerged second (a miss by 1 point) and were given a trophy and a trip to Stockholm to witness the Nobel Prize presentation ceremony.

This year, 2004, All Saints will again represent Sabah in the National Science Quiz in October and we hope to bring back the challenge trophy and of course another memorable trip to Stockholm.

Students’ competitive spirit and teamwork has produced a remarkable ICT presentation in the Science & Technology Innovation Competition.

They emerged as state champion and represented the State of Sabah to the National level Competition.
