The first Chinese Diocesan Mission Conference was held in St. Patrick's Church, Tawau during the Harvest holidays. 800 participants from all over Sabah sat quietly at the feet of Dr. Paul Woods, the Rev. Canon Soh Chye Ann and Rev. Dr. James Shao. They shared from the word of God and from their experience in the mission field. More importantly, they shared their lives. At the close of the Conference, 29 people committed their lives to mission and full time ministry and hundreds made pledges to pray and give financial support to missions. The seeds are sown. We wait in anticipation for the harvest. We pray that the Conference will spur our Chinese brothers and sisters in the Diocese to breakthrough in the area of missions.
