He
received his theological training in Singapore Bible College and was
awarded B. Th in 1981. He was ordained a Deacon on 20th
January 1982 and priested on 29th August 1982. He served
his Curacy in the Parish of St Michaels' & All Angels, Sandakan. He
was offered a Bursary to study in Wycliffe Hall, Oxford. He
completed the Master of Philosophy program and returned to be the
Priest in Charge of the Parish of Good Samaritan, Penampang. On 14th
November 1990, he was transferred to be Rector of the Parish of St
Patrick, Tawau. He remains in St Patrick' Church until today. On
26th January 1997, he was appointed by Bishop Datuk Yong
as a Canon of All Saints Cathedral and on 20th March
1998, he was also appointed the Archdeacon for Urban Area. He has
been involved in Church Planting Mission in Indonesia and Thailand.
His
wife, Mary Chu Mei Lee is a trained nutritionist and a clinical
dietitian. She was trained in London and Oxford, UK. She is now
the Principal of a Private Christian School. They have 3
children,
Samuel (16), Sarah (14) and Andrew (11). They school their children
at home.
